              There is something very different from American education or other countries' , which is 

students are not allowed to have a cell phone until they enter the university. However, not every 

student think that will prevent them from having a phone with the money that was supposed to be 

used on their daily meal at school.  One day, i saw a friend was playing his phone during class time 

and he was showing off about using a phone during class. I was sort of surprised at first but then i 

was thinking why he had a phone but i did not. Thus, i decided to get a phone too. But i did not have 

enough money even if i used the meal money. Therefore, a bad idea came into my mind. I decided to 

take the money from my mom's wallet without permission. Finally i got a phone of my own. But 

things did not go so well. One day, my mom came to me and asked " Son, are u lacking of money for 

buying something or is the money i gave not enough for meal" I was a little freaked out because i 

thought my mom probably found out the missing money from her wallet. But she did not point out 

that it was me that took the money. 

             

        Few days after, i was still worried about my mom's words of that day. Will she think that her 

son is a thief and she really are going to give up on me? I finally went to my mom's office after 

school and put the phone on her desk and said" i am so sorry for taking the money from your wallet 

mom. Please forgive me" My mom smiled at me and said" i never give up on you; yet; i am very 

proud of you for confessing yourself.'' I was a little surprised about my mom's words and her 

reaction after i took the money without permission and also bought a phone which was totally 

forbidden in high school. But anyway, i kept on studying hard and preparing for ' SAT '. Because i 

decided to go to a university in United States. So that is the story of mine when i confessed myself to 

my mom when i was in China.
